Felt the build up between Serena and Bryan worked really well and realistically.
Whenever I'm in need of a good, steamy read the Brazen line is always a good choice. I have read a few other books by Christine Bell and was excited to see she was coming out with another Brazen. Although I did not read the first book in the Perfectly Matched series, I was still able to follow along with this one- though now I want to go back and read Grace and Trick's story!

Pacing: Christine's stories are always fast paced, sexy reads. I felt the build up between Serena and Bryan worked well and realistically. They are attracted to one another, and while they act on that attraction, it isn't until later that they realize feelings are involved.

Storyline: Neither Serena nor Bryan are looking for love. They are thrown together due to scheming best friends and siblings and despite their red hot attraction to one another, find they need one another for different reasons. Been there...read that...

I had much higher hopes than this one ended up delivering on. The story starts out cute enough but then quickly falls into the same old tired routine of two people who are jaded on love and think that they have found the perfect "no emotions, sex only" relationship that both will be able to walk away from unscathed.

There was not enough grit to the story to carry it along and I quickly became bored with all the characters inner monologues of denying their feelings and excuses on why they could not be together. If there was a silver lining to the book I have to say that although it was predictable the ending was cute and nicely done.

Excellent Guide - Even For Writers!

I like this book for a number of reasons.

The author immediately addresses the issue of "good dirty talk", which is something I believe you can do, still spice things up (a LOT), and avoid the stigma of negative or demeaning dirty talk.

This book is VERY comprehensive, which I also appreciate when I'm purchasing a book, regardless of the price. I am not a fan of writers that cover one topic briefly in order to get people to buy additional books on the same topic. You don't have to worry about that here.

I think this is a great resource for writers, too. I'm a contemporary romance (probably bordering on erotica) author, and honestly I think she covered this topic so well that it will be a resource for me going forward.

She covers "why", the importance of intimacy (which I love), ideas, how to set the stage, and then yes - specifics. :)

This is an excellent book/resource on this topic!

TELLING HIM YOU LOVE HIM ISN'T ALWAYS ENOUGH
When I received a copy of this to review from the author, I didn't know what to expect. Was this going to be a tongue in cheek read? No it was a sensible and serious guide, to a subject that many people might not discuss.
The author talks about building intimacy and feeling comfortable with your man. When she refers to intimacy she isn't necessarily referring to sex. She stresses the importance of getting to know someone and letting them get to know you. She also appreciates that not everybody is going to be able to start using real hard core language, plus she emphasises that it's not just what you say but how you say it. A whisper in his ear with something quite mild can have the desired affect. Especially if you are shy, because let's face it not everybody is going to be comfortable or confident to start with.

This is a useful guide to anyone who might be interested or feel that they might need a little help. The author does offer suggestions, but also gives tips on...

Being in the upper part of my senior years of life, it is a vital necessary part of keeping ones love/sex live on track. Good for beginners

This book is geared towards people who are brand new to the concept of talking dirty. It has a lot of good ideas to help you break out of your shell if you are shy. However, if you are not brand new to talking dirty and are looking for some psychological games to play in bed, or some creative ideas to build on basic dirty talk, you should look elsewhere. By no means am I a pro, but I did not get more than a couple of new words out of this book.

I love how the author eases you into dirty talk, and makes sure that you know how okay it is and how comfortable you can be with it. I also love the examples! I can even imagine my shy girlfriend using some of them, which was the point of my buying this. I would recommend this book to anyone who is shy with dirty talk and wants to explore!

Men and women do it differently according to the book so focus on your needs. The book is short and sweet but says it all tersely. Loved "giggle attacks" and the part on faking it. So true! The guideline section with samples is great so you can't go wrong. After all, it is kind of an art!
